Lisa Marie Presley Opens Up About Michael Jackson

Lisa Marie Presley just had a much anticipated interview with none other than Oprah Winfrey. In the interview, Lisa finally spoke out about her reaction to Michael Jackson’s death, and she also opened up about her marriage to the King of Pop. Presley truly regrets not reaching out to him before his death last year.

Lisa told Oprah that it took her this long to be ready to talk about Michael because, “Every time I’ve ever had an interview in the past, I tend to get very defensive because I was usually promoting something and it would always cross into my personal life. I wanted to sit and really have a conversation about things that are more on a personal level, before I do have an album coming out.”

Presley also told Oprah that she didn’t realize that Michael Jackson had a drug problem until the end of their marriage, and insists that their relationship as husband and wife was “normal.” She said that at one point he collapsed and wound up in the hospital, and she couldn’t get a straight answer about what was happening to him. She filed for divorce shortly afterwards.

Lisa Marie learned of Michael Jackson’s death while in England, and John Travolta broke the news to her. When asked about her reaction to the news she said, “Real honest to goodness shock, not even tears. I was floored, honestly floored.”

Presley also compared Jackson to her father, Elvis Presley, and said, “The one thing that correlates with Michael and my father on this subject, they had the luxury of creating whatever reality around them they wanted to create.”

Roseville Galleria Mall Suspect

The Roseville Galleria Mall has been evacuated after reports of a suspect barricaded inside the mall.

A Roseville city official confirmed that mall has been cleared. A police command post has been set up.

"We have the Roseville police department dealing with the suspect in the mall, possibly in the back room of one of the tenants of the mall," said Roseville city spokeswoman Vonette McCauley.

"They are addressing that situation. Fire and emergency medical services are on scene to deal with what may occur."

McCauley said she could not confirm if a fire reported earlier was an actual blaze or a report of a pulled fire alarm.

"We are trying to confirm that," she said.

McCauley said she could not confirm media reports that the tenant where the suspect may be holed up is the GameStop store.

The situation apparently started around 10:30 a.m.

No other details were available.

LeBryan Nash Commits to Oklahoma State

LeBryan Nash (Dallas, Texas/Lincoln), the No. 10-ranked player in the country, committed to Oklahoma State and coach Travis Ford on Thursday. From the moment Nash stepped on campus in Stillwater he fell in love.
"It is such a beautiful campus and the fan support is unreal," said Nash, who picked the Cowboys over Kansas and Baylor. "Everywhere I went the students knew who I was."

The 6-foot-7, 230-pound small forward is the most physically gifted player in the 2011 class. What sets him apart from his peers is his combination of power and athleticism, making him a difficult matchup for opponents. Nash is fearless attacking the rim and has the ability to explode through contact and make the play. Over the years he has also developed his perimeter skills and is now more consistent out to the 3-point arc and is a sound decision-maker utilizing ball screens.

Defensively, he is fast enough to chase shooting guards off screening action, making it difficult for them to see the rim. He is powerful and tough enough to front the low post and bang with players who are bigger than him. Plus, Nash could really be a factor on the glass because he snatches balls away from others with his leaping ability and strong hands.

There is room for growth in every player and Nash will be quick to tell you that he needs to focus more during games and not have a bad reaction when he is frustrated with himself, teammates or his coach. He is working on being a leader and needs to mature and continue to round out his game. However, his size, toughness and skill level are unquestionable.

Nash is a huge piece to the puzzle for Ford next season, when it comes to scoring points.

Netflix May Flip Model

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings reaffirmed Wednesday that the home entertainment giant is looking closely at flipping its service model. Netflix currently offers a range of mail-order DVD rental packages with “Watch Instantly” video streaming as a free perk. As the popularity of streaming video services continues to grow, Hastings has repeatedly made public the company’s interest in a streaming-only plan. Here are Hastings’ most recent remarks from Wednesday’s earnings call:

Three years ago we were a DVD-by-mail company that offered some streaming. We are now a streaming company, which also offers DVD-by-mail… Pure streaming could become Netflix’s core offering in the U.S., with discs being offered as a supplement for an additional charge.
